Who Can Use Just Friends
Minimum Age
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 13, you may not create an account or use the Service.
If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 13, we will disable access. In some cases, we may block sign-in and sign-up until the account holder’s 13th birthday.
Eligibility
You may use the Service only if you can legally form a binding contract where you live and are not prohibited from using the Service under applicable laws.
Your Account
Registration and Security
You agree to provide accurate information and keep it updated. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account.
- Individual use only: Accounts must represent individual people. You may not create accounts for businesses, organizations, brands, or non-human entities.
- One account integrity: You may not create accounts to evade enforcement, limits, or blocks, or to mislead others.
- Usernames: Usernames must be unique. You may not buy, sell, rent, or transfer usernames or accounts.
- Email and phone number: We may require a valid email address and a unique phone number to reduce abuse and protect the community. You represent you have the right to use the email and phone number you provide.
Device-Level Deterrents
To reduce abuse and multi-account creation, we may use device-level signals (including hashed install identifiers) and may limit the number of accounts created per device.
Private by Default
Just Friends is designed around private-by-default sharing and friends-only visibility. Your posts are generally intended to be visible only to you and your accepted friends, subject to these Terms and our enforcement actions.
Your Content
“User Content” includes photos, captions, comments, profile information (including profile photos), tags, and anything else you submit to the Service.
Ownership
You own your User Content. These Terms do not transfer ownership to us.
License You Grant Us
To operate the Service, you grant Just Friends a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable, sublicensable license to host, store, cache, reproduce, display, and publish (only within the Service as directed by your settings) your User Content, and to make technical adaptations (for example, creating thumbnails, resizing, compressing, and reformatting) solely to provide, secure, moderate, and improve the Service.
This license ends when your content is deleted from our systems, except where the content has been shared with others who may retain it (for example, a comment thread), it persists briefly in backups or technical logs, or we must retain data for safety, legal, compliance, or dispute reasons.
You’re Responsible for What You Post
You represent that you have all rights needed to post your User Content (including permissions from people depicted, where required) and that it does not violate law or these Terms.
Content Visibility
Friends can still capture or re-share what they see (for example, via screenshots). We cannot guarantee confidentiality once User Content is viewed by others.
Rules and Prohibited Content
You agree not to use the Service to do anything illegal, harmful, abusive, or disruptive.

- Politics-focused content may be removed if the Service designates politics as disallowed
- Profanity may be removed where the Service prohibits it (including attempts to evade filters)

We may publish additional detailed rules in-app. Those rules are part of these Terms.
Moderation, Enforcement, and Reports
We may review, remove, or restrict User Content or accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe may harm users or the Service. We may take enforcement actions at any time, including removing content, limiting visibility, issuing warnings, temporarily suspending accounts, or permanently banning accounts.
We use a combination of user reports, automated systems (including image and text analysis and OCR), and human review (as available) to enforce rules and prevent abuse. Automated systems can make mistakes.
Some decisions may be appealable via in-app appeals. We do not guarantee that we will review every report or that we will act in every case.

Do not post content you do not have the right to share.

Service Changes and Disclaimers
We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, including features, limits, or availability.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, that User Content will always be available, or that moderation will catch every violation.
Feedback and Submissions
If you send us ideas, suggestions, or feedback (“Submissions”), you agree we can use them without restriction and without compensation to you. Do not send Submissions you consider confidential or proprietary.
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, JUST FRIENDS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
IN ALL CASES, JUST FRIENDS’ TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US (IF ANY) IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) $100 USD.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Just Friends and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your User Content, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party rights.
Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time and may be able to delete your account from within the App (which may require verification).
We may suspend or terminate your access at any time if we believe you violated these Terms, we must do so for safety or legal reasons, or to protect the Service.
Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
To the extent permitted by law, any claim or cause of action arising out of or related to the Service must be filed within one (1) year after the claim arises, or it is permanently barred.
Nothing in these Terms creates an agency, partnership, joint venture, employment, or franchisor–franchisee relationship between you and Just Friends.
